Scenario board
The aim of the project was to choose a target market and design an app to solve the pain points they have with domestic energy, and help them to reduce their usage. It was also designed to help the family to be able to schedule in spending more time with each other.
A scenario board was created to show a typical day for a chosen persona. I demonstrated times during the day that the app could be used in order to help solve the pain points of the user. A sitemap could then be made to organise the content and features needed to solve the pain points of the user.
Wireframes
Wireframes layed out where all the information and features required from the app could be positioned. Pages were created to show the energy usage, which devices were being used, as well as a shared calendar to schedule in more time as a family.
Prototyping
A user journey was created from the wireframes to see how the user would move through the app. A low-fidelity prototype was then used to test the ease of use of the app when on a phone, and see how users interacted with it.
Design were then created and developed following the wireframe layouts, and prototyping to create the final look of the app.
